About Your Next Opportunity:
Reporting to the President of Viveport, the Head of Content Strategy and Business Development will participate in creating, leading, implementing, and managing Viveport's short-term and long-term growth initiatives, with a primary focus on revenue generation and profitability.
The VP will inspire, lead, and manage global teams for the strategic evaluation of current and new markets, positioning and proposal submission in each selected market, and development and execution of strong international and local partnerships to successfully deliver the solutions for businesses. The VP will develop and maintain a strong, new Viveport business pipeline, and effectively collaborate and relationship-build with Viveport internal and external clients, working closely with the marketing, product, engineering, and operations teams to build and grow the world’s premier platform services and Apps. The VP will also manage the global BD team out of San Francisco, and manage the regional BD leads in EMEA and APAC.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Strategically plan and develop business partnerships consistent with the strategy.
  • Analyze the underlying causes of Viveport’s stalled growth, identify attractive new markets, develop aggressive strategies, build strong client relationships, and establish executive credibility with key stakeholders that include clients, agencies, and vendor partners.
  • Work with other stakeholders in marketing partner management, product, design, and engineering to translate identified market opportunities into viable, cost-competitive, and innovative products and solutions that will create profitable new business opportunities.

What A Typical Day Looks Like:
  • Prepare and analyze business development and marketing strategies.
  • Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with key business partners within the content creation industry for entertainment and games and new emerging technologies/experiences.
  • Prepare financial models, and give business reviews to senior management, including investment benefits, risks, and prioritization for a portfolio of partnership opportunities.
  • Monitor and measure the impact of emerging industry and business trends, and their implications for the VIVEPORT business.
  • Provide communication across teams to ensure that projects and contacts with partners are well coordinated.
  • Create and execute new and innovative ways to work with business partners.
  • Work with Marketing, Content, and Sales departments on key initiatives.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience in product management or account management experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in content creation, gaming, or platform business.
  • 10+ years of experience in developing and executing company sales and marketing plans.
  • 7+ years in entertainment or content acquisition business development.
  • Experience with managing developer and partnership programs.
  • Passion for Virtual Reality, and the opportunity to change the world.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and navigate large, global organizations.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
  • MBA
